WIndows 2008 R2 - SQL Server 2008 R2 SP1.
We have a server with 7 SQL Server instances and 6 Analysis Services Instances. A few of them important (Client Access) and the others not so much. We want to allocate 20% or some CPU cores to one of the Analysis Services Instances (NOT TALKING ABOUT MEMORY AT ALL). AFAK Processor Affinity is not natively supported in Analysis Services. How can we allocate a certain percentage or number of CPU (Cores) to a single Analysis Instance ?.
Can't allocate via task manager because when we reboot the server, it will not hold.
In case needed, the server has 32 GB RAM and 2 Physical CPU with 16 cores each.
Any Ideas ?
Thanks.
