We have been using Excel Pivot Tables for SSAS data.
When we add a dimension to a pivot table, it automatically expands the dimension to show the top-level members of the dimension. Is there a way to collapse that dimension to show just the "All" level? We couldn't find any specific setting in either Excel or the BIDS designer.
I know the simple answer would be to simply drag that dimension back out of the pivot table, because that would essentially show an "All" level. But we are concerned that for some less-experienced users, we need to be sure that users see an "All" for some specific dimensions in the pre-built pivot table reports we give to them so that they know it is a critical part of the report, and so that they don't need to hunt for that particular dimension in the dimension list.
Thank you.
