Recently I have been learning SSAS and its application, and tried to use it to resolve the issues in the business. I understand that SSAS is a very powerful tool when used with Excel(2007, 2010) Pivot table to analyse the data. However, I am very frustrated that I was not able to find a programmable way to create reports. For example, I need to pull 24-month data from cube and create a cross-region and cross-product report in multiple sheets of a workbook. This should be done every month. So the question is how to program to pull the specific data from the cube and present them using Excel(or other tools)? Does anyone have the experience?
By the way, I know how to get data using MDX from server.
