Hi, I have SSAS 2008 R2 cube and browsing using MS Excel 2010 PivotTable analysis. Cube data-source view is designed base on Star Schema.
When user analyse cube in MS Excel PivotTable, they drag and drop dimension attributes in "Filter" area. However when user drag multiple dimensions into Filter area and select value from first dimension (i.e. Dim Business Unit) , second filter dimension doesn't reflect cascading value.
What I am looking for if user drag Dim Business Unit and Dim Department filter ara and select one value from Dim Business Unit then Dim Department value should be automatically refresh. Any idea how to get for MS Excel PivotTable analysis or Browse cube in MS Visual Studio 2008?
NOTE - In PerformancePoint dashboard designer, it allows to link to dimension so if user select value from first dimension then second dimension automatically refresh and populate values that relate to first dimension. But don't know how to do this when Browse the cube in MS Visual Studio 2008 or MS Excek PivotTable filter area?
