cube perspectives and permissions

Hi all

I know perspectives are not considered as part of permissions mechanism in SSAS from the following reasons:

1.In excel (2007 over 2008 r2 cubes) users can see all perspectives that exist in a cube

(I could not find a way to link perspective to one specific role...is this possible??)

2.I presume  clients with mdx editing capabilities (like cognos report studio or Panorama)

users can write expressions which reference hidden elements (not quite sure this is true...?)

What about a scenario where connection to ssas is embedded in application - say web application.

Ssas is not visible from users side at all, connection is done only on (iis) server side on behalf of them.

Can this case make perspective a suitable component in permissions model?

TIA
