excel pivot table crashes when includes currency measures format

Hi All

Here are 2 issues i have encountered while displaying numeric measures - formated as currencies - from ssas 2008r2 cube in excel 2007 pivot cross tab:

1. When SSAS format is like #,##0.0M or #,##0.0M$ excel crashes :( (thecube browser is OK with it)

2. When SSAS format is like #,##0.0$ excel does not crash but shows my locale's currency - not $... :(

! formatting excel cells in this case to text did not show the original SSAS currency format but stripped the values off their currency simbol all together.

Any ideas\solutions? is this a known limitation of currency measures presentation in excel 2007 pivot?

By the way should SSRS handle this issue better?
