Will Tabular Model will completely replace the Multidimensional Model in near future ?

Hello all,

I just want to know something that why Microsoft bringing two different Model such as Tabular and Multidimensional Model with similar purpose .Also, will Tabular Model will completely replace the Multidimensional Model in near future ?

Is this a good question or not but really want to know about this since from the notes of PASS summit 2012 , there is much focus in tabular Model rather than multidimensional model.

I may be wrong too.
