update dimension attributes user interface

is it possible to let a excel front end user to group/ or update attributes of a dimension ?

for example, if i would like to group a particular set of dignosis as heart related diagnosis and analyze the data , without having to add an additional column at the database leevl and use that column to mark all heart realted dignosis , is it possible to do this usinga  better approach,
